The story of Rampoldi starts with Louis Rampoldi. Louis began working as a chef at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo.
During his years there he acquired the skills and experience that would be key to his personal and professional future. With a mature outlook and some experience under his belt, Louis soon had aspirations to open his own restaurant. And that’s exactly what he did: the chef’s dream became reality with the opening of Rampoldi on the Avenue des Spélugues in 1946. It was one of the first Monegasque restaurants in the Principality, which was also key to its success.
Today Rampoldi’s team matches the passion and talent and continues to strengthen the reputation and fame of the establishment. The restaurant continued to grow and attract guests from all over the world. New owner made a major renovation, bringing innovative design to the incomparable charm of the old Rampoldi, which is still a magnet for international VIPs.
The work was completed in 2016 and the reopening coincided with Rampoldi’s 70th birthday, celebrated in style on December 7 with the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
